Welcome, Baby Kreutz Gallardo
Melissa just sent us a text message proclaiming the arrival of Baby Kreutz Gallardo. No name yet — she said they hadn’t even weighed him yet, so the delivery must have been within 30 minutes of her message — but who needs that kind of pressure after nearly 24 hours in labor? Congratulations, you two!
Update @ 10:41 p.m.: Adam just sent out an e-mail with some additional information about the newly named Oscar Joe Kreutz Gallardo (love the name, Adam and Melissa!). Melissa was in labor for nearly 24 hours, and Oscar was born with the umbilical cord around his neck and having aspirated meconium. He is sleeping under a heat lamp/oxygen tent tonight, but doctors expect no further complications. Whew. That is great news! Again, congratulations, you two, and welcome to the stresses of parenthood. I’m told it gets better, but I think I was lied to.
