Kitchen Aid to the rescue

I’m not one to get excited about kitchen appliances, especially for baking. I usually find it too much trouble to bake brownies from a box. She has used it to bake several batches of cookies, and Friday evening she and my stepson used it to make the crust for a homemade chocolate cream pie (which was fan-freaking-tastic, by the way). I even made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for a friend’s Oscar party, and I can say that the mixer is by far the coolest kitchen appliance I have ever used. Now if only the rest of our kitchen were as nice-looking and as functional …
